as per every year , my friends and I would surprise each other on our respective birthdays . this year , Paggie was (supposedly) home alone on her birthday so we wanted to surprise her by buying all her favourite foods and bringing it to her house ! but after discussing with Lyn , me and Lyn realised that a lot of food would be difficult to take away .. with the exception of fried chicken and pizza . hence , we came up with the idea to buy all sorts of fried chicken available + get a cake for Paggie's birthday !
a week or two before the surprise , i tricked Paggie into thinking we were going out for dinner so she would dress nicely and put on makeup HAHHA . however , on the day itself , her parents came home from their business trip so she wasn't home alone after all ... and furthermore , her mother was reluctant to let her go out with me . little did Paggie know that it was all part of the plan since her family was also included in the planning process . anyway after much complication , the crisis was settled and the rest of hurried to get our fried chicken from all over KL lol .
hid behind her sofa and i texted Paggie "im downstairs" so she came down thinking it was me ready to pick her up for dinner but instead it was everyone else come to celebrate her birthday with her 😚😚😚
fried chicken from everyone + cake from a place that Lyn loves !
overall it was such a good time reuniting with everyone again and also celebrate my best friend's birthday 💞💞💞 you guys have no idea how much Paggie means to me because she's one of the very select few who i can share literally anything with 😌
oh and here's a rare OOTD of mine .. i barely have OOTD's anymore ever since i went to boarding school HAHA .
and Paggie if you're reading this , a month late but happy birthday again to my best best best best BPF !!! thank you for tolerating all my shit and being the most understanding person i have ever had the privilege to be acquainted with 😭❤️ much much love for you always and i pray that you'll always find positivity and happiness wherever you go , because you're one person who truly deserves it x
thank you guys for reading ! sorry if this post sounds a bit rushed because i typed this at 12am and frankly i'm quite sleepy HAHA .
hello readers ! just realised i haven't done a cafe hopping post in awhile .. in fact , this is my first cafe hopping post in this year ! i think i've been visiting cafes a lot less now since my cafe hopping buddy / boyfriend left the country HAHA . but its alright since he comes back pretty often and thus makes it easy for us to continue our cafe hopping adventures .
1. Goodness Greens by La Juiceria
even though i'm pretty terrible at it , (wait - scrap that , i'm major terrible) .. i still do try to eat clean . my useless attempts at trying to embrace eating healthily includes this : embarking on a journey to TTDI to eat at a pretty cool place that i found online while googling "healthy food in KL" lolol .
anyway , love this place's concept of DIY salads . i'm pretty sure all of us are sick of the classic Caesar salad found on almost all menus in restaurants but we're not bold enough to try some of the more fusion salads .. hence , this is the perfect place for such people like us ! with over hundreds of combinations available , Goodness Greens allows customers to create their own salads according to their personal preferences and tastes . it was really hard for me and Kun Yew to pick our salad ingredients because everything sounded so yummy ! 😋
his and mine .. the salads came in a really huge portion so honestly i think the price was really worth it .
we also ordered their truffle mushroom soup made with almond milk and it tasted so so good !! really creamy and i wouldn't have suspected it of being a healthy food at all 😂😂
throwback OOTD 😛

2. P.S. Tokyo
i'm not the type to settle without dessert so we went for green tea ice cream at P.S. Tokyo after our salad lunch ... eat clean ?? come again ?!??!
P.S. Tokyo's green tea ice-cream was alright but nothing beats my favourite green tea ice-cream from Legend of Tea , only found in Sunway Pyramid / Gurney Plaza 😓

3. PLOY , Work @ Clearwater
PLOY recently opened its second branch at Publika but i decided to pick its main branch for dinner one day because Kun Yew said he had a bad experience with PLOY . i was like ?????? i love the food from PLOY .... my boyfriend is just really bad at picking good food off the menu lolol .
hence , i made it a point to pick the food at PLOY for him hehe .
soft shell crab sushi topped with strawberries (looks weird but tastes amazing)
and the boyfriend's favourite dish of the night , deep fried baby squid
at the end of the day , kunyew agreed with me that the food at PLOY was great so i managed to prove him wrong 😁
G-2 , WORK@Clearwater , Jalan Changkat Semantan , 50490 , Kuala Lumpur , Malaysia
4. YEAST Bistronomy
visited this cute little breakfast and brunch French place with Zelyn and Jayne !! no pics of us together because i have no idea why they vanished from my phone .. anyway , loved their brunch selections , i ordered the Eggs Benedict , Zelyn with their ham and cheese toast and Jayne with a smoked salmon sandwich .

Opening Hours : Sunday-Thursday 8am–10pm ; Friday-Saturday 8am–10:30pm
5. Chai Bar
visited this cafe in May actually , but since there's space here i'll just squeeze it right in ! Similar to Goodness Greens , Chai Bar offers customisable salads too ! Prices are slightly cheaper than Goodness Greens , but choices are lesser too . not quite sure which i prefer but generally i think both are good value for money , although Chai Bar does have a disadvantage of being far from where i live .
went to Chai Bar with my fav bunch , never a dull moment with them 😌
