Spaghetti Aglio Olio !
hey guys :D today’s post will be my very first cooking blog post ! everyone knows i love baking and i bake all the time … but recently i’ve started cooking too , mostly because my mom is busy (more like lazy) , so sometimes she forces me to take charge of dinner HAHA .
anyway , i’m a huge fan of spaghetti aglio olio , so one day i just decided to make that !
ta-dahh ! it really is pretty simple to make and what i love about cooking is that you don’t really have to have exact measurements , just do everything according to taste hahaha , unlike baking where everything has to be precise or you’ll screw up .
2 servings of pasta (half a box)
some bacon (or chicken or beef or whatever meat you prefer)
random herbs and spices (i don’t even know what i put in but as long as it works ! LOL)
Step 1 : chop up the bacon and mushrooms !
Step 2 : cook the pasta in salt water until al dente , then drain aside the pasta and reserve about one cup of salt water
Step 3 : fry the bacon in butter until crisp . set it aside
Step 4 : sauté the chopped garlic in olive oil until they turn golden brown
Step 5 : add the mushrooms and bacon !
Step 6 : add in the pasta and the reserved salt water and toss it around . then add in the chilli flakes (i used 3 packets from Domino’s HAHA) and add in random herbs and spices . don’t worry what herbs you put in because i’m sure it will all taste good in the end LOLOLOL . add more olive oil if it seems a little dry . my cooking is very contrast with my baking … in cooking i’m just like screw this screw that yolo
and you’re done !! add some fancy leaves to pattern a bit HAHAHA
and since i made dinner , my mom offered to make apple juice hahahaha
no idea why i decided to do a cooking tutorial , it seems so out of place in my blog hahahah , so here’s some baking !
made a no-bake blueberry cheesecake ! recipe here : http://pengskitchen.blogspot.com/2010/07/non-baked-oreo-cheesecake.html
modified the recipe a little of course , to make it blueberry . love how the blueberry seeped into the cheese part of the cake and gave it a slight purple touch :p
ending this post with a photo of me as usual HAHA
