as the title suggested , yes i recently baked red velvet cupcakes ! :DD
NICE OR NOT !!! HEHEHEHE . ok kidding la this picture’s from google , my cupcakes aren’t that pretty and my camera quality isn’t that good :(
so on the last day of the August hols i decided not to let my holidays go to waste and decided to make full use of the last of it , thus i went shopping for ingredients to bake after my piano class ! :D
TA-DAAAH ! as you can see i bought a premix , for i was too lazy to mix my own cake mix and i had school the next day . these are from Betty Crocker and they each cost RM16.90 :) if you were to bake cupcakes instead of a whole cake (like me) , i wouldn’t recommend the cream cheese cos there’s too much and that container of cream cheese can only last up to 30 days :((( should’ve made my own cream cheese !
LET’S GET STARTED !
like all premixes , the instructions on the box were really easy to follow and the ingredients are easily obtainable and consist of normal cooking materials like eggs and vegetable oil :D then just add the premix and start mixing !
after the cupcakes have cooled down , its time to add the cream cheese ! spot my piping bag in the above picture :p
first one done ! PS. it’s very important not to add the cream cheese when the cupcakes are still warm , cos the cream cheese will melt and you won’t be able to achieve the swirly cream on top of the cupcakes :)
it was very fun to bake these cupcakes and they taste not bad but it’s not something i would buy again cos it’s quite pricey hehe :p maybe next time i will mix the ingredients manually instead of buying a premix !
