so here it is , the long awaited post !!!!

THE BEGINNING :

i wasn’t obese , nor was i skinny . i was slim , and i thought that was enough . i ate whatever i wanted , thinking it wouldn’t affect my size . i hate exercise so naturally i didn’t do anything .

 

however , soon i became the fat friend without realizing it .

MBS scouts and guides gathering last year . i had so much belly fat and i still had the nerve to wear a cropped top . somebody please go back in time and slap me in the face please –___- also , i had super fat thighs with no thigh gap .

this year during the heritage trip with my buddies . look at my belly jutting out , ew –__-

this was right before i started project skinny .

yup and this is the year where i realised i needed to change .

so why skinny ? because then i can wear nice clothes without worrying , then i can get a belly piercing and show it off , then i can wear bikinis etc etc .

 

yea you can go ahead and call me vain and narcissistic but you know what ? this is none of your business . i’m not doing this for anyone , not for my parents , not for society . i’m doing this for ME and my body and you ain’t got the right to tell me what i should or shouldn’t do :)

and thus , i started my very own #projectskinny in late March :)

 

THE PROCESS (DIETING) :

food , of course , plays a very important role in our lives , and besides , who doesn’t love food ?

i am the worst case scenario because i LOVE desserts and savoury foods . ice-cream , chocolate , cake , mac and cheese , fried chicken , pizza , mashed potato and all .

what’s worse ? i love carbohydrates . i super love white fluffy rice , french fries , cereal , spaghetti , instant noodles , cookies etc .
i could eat up to three servings of rice and noodles if i wanted to :(

during #projectskinny , i did #projectsavemoney too , in which i save up my allowance to buy clothes and bring healthy food to school .

so i went on the “one proper meal a day basis” .

i have breaktime and lunchtime in school , so normally during breaktime , i would eat yoghourt / fruits and during lunchtime , i would eat maybe an apple , or a curry puff .

then at night i would eat a proper home-cooked dinner at home with rice , meats and vege .

remember , it is always better to eat 4-5 small meals per day instead of 3 big ones . eat whenever you’re hungry , but make sure your food serving is the size of your fist because that’s the size of your stomach :)

of course , i cut down on my carb intake , i now eat half the amount of carbs i used to eat . (still love it though haha)

this is an app i downloaded on my phone , its called MyFitnessPal and it helps keep track of the calories you’re eating as well as the exercise you do . it calculates the amount of calories you should eat in order to reach your target weight and mine is 1200 calories per day :D

 

so whenever i eat something , i add it to My Diary and at the end of the day , this is what it shows you :

here are some of the foods i eat for #projectskinny :

one of my favourites and super easy to make ! put a cookie at the bottom of the cup or break it into pieces , add in a cup of low-fat yoghourt and sprinkle with cornflakes ! this can be a breakfast / snack .

 


apples , of course . it’s filling AND healthy + yummy ! eat this as lunch / snack .

salad + light mayo , eggs and sausages . this was a day where i was gonna work out , thus the excessive proteins hahaha

BOOST’s low-fat smoothie ! its made of pure fruits and ice-cream so it’s very filling ! eat it as lunch / dinner :D

 

of course there are more but i don’t have pictures and these are only suggestions , you may eat whichever health food you want and there are lots of recipes available on the internet :)

of course there are days where i binge little heheheh . these days are called the holidays and weekends ! i do give myself little treats on weekdays too , such as a bit of chocolate or some ice-cream :9 don’t deprive yourself of the good things in life !!

and then i exceed my calorie quota :(

 

but its okay ! as long as you don’t binge too much , you’re good to go :D

 

also , lessen the junk food and soft drinks , these things contain a lot of fat and sugar in it !

REMEMBER : NEVER SKIP BREAKFAST AS IT IT THE MOST IMPORTANT MEAL OF THE DAY AND YOU DO NOT WANNA GET GASTRIC .

there is a saying that goes “eat breakfast like a king , eat lunch like a normal person , and eat dinner like a beggar”

IN CONCLUSION .

  1. Drink lots of water
  2. Lessen your carb intake
  3. Eat 4-5 small meals per day instead of 3 big ones
  4. Make sure your food serving is the size of your fist
  5. Avoid junk food and soft drinks
  6. Eat slowly
  7. Remember to indulge once in awhile , you deserve it ;)
  8. Eat healthier , not just lesser .


    its very simple really , no secret trick to it , GOOD LUCK !!!
